DLH Industries, Inc. recognized by General Motors as a Supplier of the Year for the third consecutive year
Canton, Ohio – DLH Industries, Inc. received the General Motors 2009 Supplier of the Year award for its significant contributions to GM’s global product and performance achievements. This marks the third consecutive year that DLH Industries has won the coveted award. The 18th annual award was given during ceremonies held Thursday March 11, 2010 at the GM Design Dome in Warren, Michigan.
DLH Industries was one of 76 recipients of the award out of GM’s estimated 19,900 suppliers, world wide. The companies in attendance represented 16 countries from around the globe.
“As you know, the Supplier of the Year award is always special, but the suppliers recognized this year have risen above and beyond the call during one of the most challenging years in GM history”, commented GM’s Robert E. Socia, Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain.
DLH Industries’ President and Chief Executive Officer, John Saxon attended the ceremony to accept the award. “We are truly honored to have been selected to receive this prestigious award for the third consecutive year. The dedication and commitment to excellence of DLH Industries’ employees, shows in our products and service, and we are very pleased that GM has recognized us for our efforts”, said Saxon.
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Winners are selected by a global team of GM executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price.
